Built by creators tired of getting cut.
Vault2 was founded in 2020 by four operators — two indie designers, a music producer, and a payments engineer — who'd watched the digital goods category fragment into platforms that took 30%, marketplaces that drowned creators in algorithmic noise, and homegrown solutions that broke quietly under load. We built a calm, operationally-serious alternative: 3% platform fee, same-day creator payouts, professional licensing tooling, and a deliberate refusal to monetize creators through anything other than transparent transaction fees.
How we make money
Three percent platform transaction fee plus annual licensing tiers. That's it. No revenue share on creator-sold add-ons, no algorithmic ad placements, no upsells to creators, no affiliate fees. We're explicit about this because the digital goods category is full of platforms that monetize creators through layers of opaque fees; we don't.
How we treat creators
Same-day payouts. Direct customer relationships — creators have full access to their customer lists, can export at any time, and can migrate off the platform with their data intact. We don't lock creators in through proprietary file formats or audience-graph entanglement; we want creators to stay because the platform earns its place, not because leaving is hard.
